Interview Depth
Configure how many questions are asked in an interview.
Interview depth controls the length and thoroughness of the interview.
Depth Levels
| Depth | Questions | Best For |
|---|---|---|
| Light | 4 questions | Quick screening, high-volume roles |
| Standard | 6 questions | Most roles — balanced depth and time |
| Deep | 8 questions | Senior roles, leadership positions |
| Custom | You choose | Any specific number you need |
How Depth Works
- When you select a depth, the question spine adjusts automatically
- If you increase depth, new question slots are added
- If you decrease depth, a confirmation modal appears since questions will be removed
- The custom slider lets you set any number
The depth and question count must always match. If you have 6 questions, the depth is "Standard." The system enforces this automatically.
Impact on Scoring
More questions generally means:
- More competencies can be covered
- More evidence for the scorer to evaluate
- More nuanced scores with richer evidence quotes
- Longer interviews (each question takes ~2-3 minutes in voice mode)
