Sessions

Run structured employee conversations for stay interviews, exit interviews, onboarding check-ins, and more.

Sessions are structured AI-conducted conversations with your employees. Where postings are for hiring, sessions are for internal conversations — stay interviews, exit interviews, 30-day onboarding check-ins, engagement pulses, and anything else that benefits from consistent, thoughtful conversation at scale.

How Sessions Work

Sessions follow the same model as postings: configure once, invite many. The AI conducts each conversation consistently, then surfaces patterns across all participants.

Create a session from a pre-built library template or let AI generate one from your description

Customize the topics the AI should explore — toggle, reorder, set priority, and add context

Invite participants — each receives a unique, secure conversation link via email

AI conducts the conversation — voice or text, guided by your topics and their priority

Review insights — AI analyzes responses across all participants, identifying themes and patterns

Creating a Session

Navigate to Sessions in the sidebar and click Create Session. You can start two ways:

Select a pre-built session type such as Stay Interview, Exit Interview, or 30-Day Onboarding Check-In. Each template comes with a curated set of topics designed for that conversation type.

After selecting a template, customize the topics, add context, and configure the conversation mode before saving.

Describe what you want to explore — for example, "I want to understand why our mid-level engineers are leaving." The AI generates a complete session type with relevant topics, priority levels, and probing guidance.

Review and adjust the generated topics before saving. The AI output is a starting point you fully control.

Topics

Topics guide what the AI explores during each conversation. When you create a session, topics are cloned from the template — editing them on a session does not affect the original or other sessions.

FieldPurpose
LabelThe area to explore (e.g., "Career Growth")
DescriptionWhat this topic covers in detail
Probing GuidanceHow the AI should dig deeper — what to follow up on
PriorityLow, medium, or high — controls how much conversation time this topic receives
ContextOptional internal context visible only to the AI (e.g., "We just completed a reorg")

Inviting Participants

Open the session detail page and click Invite in the participants section

Enter the participant's name, email, and optionally their role and department

The system auto-fills from people you've previously invited — search to reuse them

Each participant gets a unique link via email. Links expire in 7 days.

Session Insights

After participants complete their conversations, the AI generates an analysis across all responses. The insights tab shows:

SectionWhat It Contains
Executive SummaryOverall session health, key quotes, sentiment, and recommended actions
AI-Identified PatternsCross-cutting themes detected across participants (e.g., flight risk, burnout signals)
Per-Topic AnalysisDetailed breakdown of what participants said about each topic

Insights aggregate across all participants, making it easy to spot organizational trends that no single conversation would reveal.

Session Locking

Once the first participant completes their conversation, the session's topics and configuration are locked. This ensures all participants are evaluated against the same framework for fair comparison. To iterate on the design, clone the session — the original remains intact.

Sessions may not appear in your sidebar if your plan doesn't include them or if your role doesn't have session permissions. Contact your account owner to check.
